This is such an increidble product and despite being the centre of the Biossance range, I think it’s not spoken about enough. Their 100% Squalane Oil is well… exactly that. A beautiful lightweight oil derived from sugarcane that works in so many ways.

The skin compatible moisturising molecule works similarly to our skins own natural moisturising factors and helps to prevent moisture loss as well as replenishing essential omegas.

Like with this formula and other oils from Biossance it’s normally found in a lightweight oil texture, a key property of this effective replenishing ingredient is in its power to deeply moisturise without feeling greasy or heavy. Whilst a dry skin will find they get the moisture hit the require, and oiler skin will feel the nourishment without feeling sticky

The best part about incorporating Squalane into our routines is that anyone can use it, with any ingredient. Whether you use vitamin c, retinol or niacinamide- Squalane compliments all of our favourite actives! It’s great to soothe, replenish and re-energise skin after an intensive treatment too.

This Squalane is without a shadow of a doubt the BEST quality squalane I have tried, it hasn’t caused any breakouts and unlike the millions of product that claim to be multipurpose, this actually works across Skin, Hair and Body.

Whether you use it as a face and body moisturiser, to add shine and hydration to the mid-length and ends of your hair, or take over the cuticles to keep them healthy, you will be better off for using it. I have friends who swear by it for using on their children and even keeping dry medical conditions like exczema at bay and reducing flare ups. If you’re not sure where to start, try it on your body on damp skin and feel the difference from one side to other. It’s a game changer and I’m so glad it is in a 100ml size so I can use it for everything and not be rushing out to repurchase every week!

Biossance is cruelty free (like all skincare sold in the UK). The brand is available at Selfridges stores and online, Cult Beauty, Sephora and Biossance.com.
