The Biossance Squalane + Hyaluronic toning mist is a fairly new addition to the range and I think it’s yet to arrive in the UK but it’s one to put on your wishlist for the summer…
As with any mist, they aren’t going to be the most effective at treating your skin type or skin concerns, but they are brilliant for adding and layering hydration and a refresh.
With this mist it’s important to note that I don’t find it sets makeup in place specifically but the hydration it offers will definitely help make up hang around longer because the skin will be perfectly hydrated.
This formula is really refreshing and works well after an acid toner (their new BHA toner is fab!) or even during the day as a pick me up.

The mist takes some getting used to as it uses the halo nozzle, which basically means if you don’t spray in a circle it ends up spritzing at a diagonal so just be sure to take it around the entire face to avoid wasting any product.
Where I think this mist really does come into it’s own is, as always- the great formula. It uses two molecular weights of hyaluronic acid to provide visible and a deeper hydration boost, with a touch of glycerin, squalane and lavender oil which gives a great uplifting fragrance to the mist. It is also super travel friendly at 75ml
A face mist is one of the non essential parts of skincare and yet I rarely miss the step in my routines because it feels so luxurious and indulgent, at any time of day. I like to use it to layer lighweight hydration in my AM routine when I get the time to, I always notice my skin looks much better for it.
Biossance is cruelty free (like all skincare sold in the UK). The brand is available at Selfridges stores and online, Cult Beauty, Sephora and Biossance.com.
