If your main concerns are to address visible signs of aging, this is where you would come within the Biossance range. The Squalane + Phyto Retinol Serum is their most comprehensive treatment to address these concerns.
First off, what is Phyto- Retinol? It’s not Vitamin A, or a derivative. It is Bakuchiol.
Bakuchiol is regarded as a plant derived alternative to retinol, yielding some similar results without the dryness and irritation retinol can cause.
The great thing about this serum is that you can use it AM and PM without having to worry about causing photosensitivity and if you can’t, or simply don’t want to use a retinol this offers an effective alternative.

The formula contains Niacinamide, Squalane, Bakuchiol and fruit extracts to you get a very gentle exfoliation, a barrier strengthening and redness reducing boost as well as hydration too.
As more research is coming out about bakuchiol and trusted brands like Biossance put their weight behind the ingredient I’m more inclined to believe that this could be a gamechanger, eventhough I largely tend to stick to Vitamin A products.
This is being repackaged at the moment, and will be in an airless pump soon but as far as I am aware the formula will remain unchanged.
Biossance is cruelty free (like all skincare sold in the UK). The brand is available at Selfridges stores and online, Cult Beauty, Sephora and Biossance.com.
