It was love at first application with the Biossance Squalane + Probiotic Gel Moisturizer. I loved the lighweight texture, the skinlike finish (there is nothing worse than a gel that dries matte) and the instant soothing and cooling effect.

This sits comfortably in the light cream-gel textured moisturisers that do more than just moisturise, I saw that it helped take down any redness in my skin as well as balance my overall complexion.

I’ve never had any issues with it pilling when layered with different products under or over it and adore that it lends itself to being ‘boosted’ with an oil should I require more moisture.

Despite being a Squalane based moisturiser I find it sinks in as though it was oil free and the probiotic ferment has helped unify my skin tone for overall clarity which I didn’t expect because I hadn’t done much research on pre, pro and postbiotics in skincare but now I might just have to…

If you like Clinique Moisture Surge, but want to see what else is our there- this is a great option. I was reaching for it over the approximately 3.5 days of warm weather we had, when all I could manage was to apply this after cleansing. Love.

Biossance is cruelty free (like all skincare sold in the UK). The brand is available at Selfridges stores and online, Cult Beauty, Sephora and Biossance.com.
