The Biossance Squalane + Rose Vegan Lip Balm is one of my all time favourite lip products. I’ve been through two pots now and love how hydrating it feels without being heavy, but also how useful it is in my kit, because I can apply lip product almost instantly instead of having to wait around for it to sink in.

When I discovered it was being reformulated I was devastated (obvs I stockpiled), but as it turns out…  this is one of those rare occasions where a reformulation is *actually* better than the original.

Now housed in a pink tube, which is so handy for on the go, the balm no longer contains rose oil, but moisturising rose wax instead. The increase in waxy emollients and decrease in oil content does make it a thicker formula, but all of the great qualities of the previous formula remain and means that even the rose averse can fall in love with the lip balm (you can’t taste the rose anymore!).

As with all Biossance products, the lip balm is completely vegan and uses rose wax whereas product like this would typically use beeswax, this combined with ceramides, hyaluronic acid and their signature ingredient squalane make for a great lip balm that lasts beyond application. I find that even when the intial shine dissipates my lips are still hydrated for hours before needed to reapply.

I’ve left a comparison of the INCI lists below in case you find it helpful!
