The Jordan Samuel Skin Antioxidant Serum is everything I never knew I needed.
I struggle with using vitamin c topically, but have wanted a targeted antioxidant as a part of my AM routine for some time now. I could never find a formula that ticked all my boxes- It needed to appeal to me, work with the rest of my routine and give results.
Don’t get me wrong- I love vitamin c. It works well and delivers great results on most people, but we definitely have an unrequited love.
As much as I love the instant glow & protection I get, I always find the breakouts and sensitivity that often follow are rarely worth it. My favourites are no surprise, well formulated complete treatments by way of DDG and Paula’s Choice. I keep these on hand, but largely move away from Vitamin C formulas.
Oddly enough, I the only vitamin C I can use without any issues is step two of the DDG peels. I’m not mad about it though, because if ever there should have been an exception to my intolerance, it should be for the best peels on the market.
But being topically sensitive shouldn’t mean I miss out on antioxidant protection from free radicals!

Enter Jordan Samuel.
He’s only gone and made EXACTLY what I was looking for. An lightweight, oil free, glow inducing antioxidant serum. I think this is in my routine for the long run.
As part of his Italian Collection, inspired by the Mediterranean. The serum uses 5 different antioxidants in the way of resveratrol, green tea extract, pomegranate juice, olive fruit extract and grapeseed extract. Whilst these ingredients aren’t new, this formula feels so modern and is a pleasure to use.
For anyone who is familiar with the Paula’s Choice BHA liquid- a product made for oily and blemish prone skin. It can often feel oily due to the solvent/humectant they use. That is exactly the case here! The texture is like a dry oil (without the oil).

Though antioxidant protection isn’t something that is visible on the skin immediately I am confident that I have an extra layer of protection on my skin, in addition to the instant gratification. This doesn’t brighten the skin in the same way A 30% vitamin C would, but it’s not claiming to & isn’t as sensitising either. Think slow and steady. You will however see an immediate hydration and glow while you wait- which is always nice!
When we had warmer weather earlier in the month I was cleansing, applying this and SPF and that was me done for the day.
Have you tried any JSS or struggled with vitamin C?
