Pat Mcgrath had a fairly quiet start to the year, but it’s safe to say over the past few months, Mother is making up for lost time by offering us roses. Not only has she brought back Divine Rose 1, but also launched the first ever Mothership artistry palette, Divine Rose 2.

Not one to do things by halves, a Divine Rose collection followed shortly after as did a 6 pan MTHRSHIP, Rose Decadence accompanied by a new lip formula, Divinyl lip shine.

MTHRSHIP ROSE DECADENCE

Rose Decadence is the first of what I’d assume is a repackage of the smaller motherships (MTHRSHIPS), though I am sad to see the iconic two point closure go, this is much more make up bag friendly. The mirror is still the same size, for anyone who does the make up on the go! (Does anyone still do that now? I used to do it constantly!)

As far as I can see, there are no repeat shades here, though some look as though they may be in the pan, these are all brand new! I like how the peach and purple would create a beautiful wash of matte, but accompany it with any 4 of the shimmers and it’ll instantly elevate your look! My favourite is Scandalous, a rose bronze metallic shimmer.

Divinyl Lip Shine is a new formula for the brand, it sits alongside the Lip Fetish collection and takes inspiration from the comforting balm formula, but with added pigment. It feels lovely on the lips, glides on smoothly and stays well put for a tinted balm-though you will have to reapply once you eat/drink, as it does leave behind a slight stain- no telltale streaks here! I have shade Boudoir Rose which is my perfect pink, I personally use this by applying straight from the bullet into the centre of my lips and technical term coming up here- *smushing* it in. I get both the pigment and shine I want, though you could increase the intensity by applying across the entire lip or decrease by applying to your finger an blotting it on.

Lets get to the swatches!

Divinyl Lip Shine in Boudoir Rose

Have you tried any of Pat’s Rose collections yet? I think Pat’s eyeshadow formula is second to none and absolutely worth a try. Whilst the Divinyl is new to me and I only have one shade to test, I am loving it and much like most of my PMG collection, I think will make it’s way to my daily rotation.
