The Inkey List Hydrating Serums

The Inkey List makes two of the best hydrating serums on the skincare market, regardless of price point. Both their Hyaluronic Acid and Polyglutamic Acid are great at hydrating the skin upon application and beyond. These are not exfoliators so don’t worry about resurfacing the skin!

For best results these after exfoliation (I love them after PHA toner) and be sure to follow up with a moisturiser to lock in the hydration.

Hyaluronic Acid

INCI: Water (Aqua / Eau), Propanediol, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/Vp Copolymer, Leuconostoc/Radish Root Ferment Filtrate, Hyaluronic Acid, Carbomer, Polysorbate 20, Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1, Phenoxyethanol

Famously known for holding up to 1000 times it’s weight in water, The Inkey List Hyaluronic Acid uses three molecular weights to ensure absorption at every layer of the skin. It’s like a drink of water for even the most parched skins, and yes even oily skins can find benefit in balancing their skin by using this this small but mighty serum.

It was one of the first products I tried from the brand and I was impressed because it performs better than hyaluronic acid serums more than 10x the price.

When using this, follow up with a moisturiser so the serum pulls moisture in for maximum hydration.

Polyglutamic Acid

INCI: Aqua (Water), Dimethicone, Butylene Glycol, Bis-PEG-12 Dimethicone, Glycerin, Polymethylsilsesquioxane, Polysilicone-11, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Isohexadecane, Propanediol, Coco-Glucoside, Sodium Benzoate, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Polysorbate 80, Ethylhexylglycerin, Potassium Sorbate, Decyl Glucoside, Dimethylacrylamide/Acrylic Acid/Polystyrene Ethyl Methacrylate Copolymer, Sorbitan Oleate, Trisodium Ethylenediamine Disuccinate, Polyglutamic Acid, Caprylyl Glycol, Hexylene Glycol, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Extract

In my eyes, The Inkey List pioneered the use of Polyglutamic Acid before we knew what it even was and were instrumental in my own discovery of what it was! (You never stop learning in this industry!)

Think of PGA as Hyaluronic Acids Big Sister, it has the same hydrating properties (well technically it can hold up to 4 times the moisture Hyaluronic can so it’s kinda a big deal…) but a larger molecular size which allows dehydration to be addressed on a visible, cosmetic level which makes this perfect if you want your skin to look hydrated and flawless all day long.

Pair it with Hyaluronic Acid for ultimate hydration (yes please thank you) or use it alone. Either way, it is incredible mixed in with foundation or used underneath. Incredible.

The Inkey List is Cruelty Free and available at Selfridges, Cult Beauty, Boots, Sephora US and Shoppers Drug Mart Canada,  in addition to their own website where you can AskINKEY for specific product related support.
